After the year's last show it's a fact:

DKCH DCHKLB DCHVDH KLBCH SCH Blicci’s Nougat Wonder is the #1 Phalene Dog 2003 in Denmark (totally 17 males ranked), and DKCH VV03 SCH Blicci's Tiny Trixie is the #1 Phalene Bitch 2003 in Denmark (totally 14 females ranked).

 

6 December "Petra" makes a smashing start of her show career! At the year's final show in Køge our Swedish import, Menine's High Fidelity went Best female with CAC and BOS,  just 10 months old. 22 November - Export to France

Blicci's After Eight - "Angel" (Blicci's U Are My Universe - Blicci's Roselil) has left for her new home with Mrs. Brigitte Cardoletti, Elevage d'Euskadi in the south of France. We know she has got a wonderful home and wish her the best of luck!

Chip's first big win

Blicci's U Are My Universe, litter brother to Tip (below), is now following in his brother's footsteps. BOB for the first time at the international show in Herning, Denmark on November 1st, and the first CAC on the way to his championship. Way to go, little guy!

CH Blicci's Upside Down U Turn Me is among the top 25 papillons in USA eligible for the 2003 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. We are sooo proud of this major achievement! Very well done by his owner and handler Chris Robichaud.

Star's titles now read CH Blicci's Sandra Dee MX MXJ NJC NGC AD CGC 

As Andrea wrote: "She also picked up her 6th leg toward the Mach title and got 3 first places that amounted to 100 mach pts. You need 20 double Q's and 750 pts for a Mach she has 6 double Q's and 700 pts. You get a pt for each second you are under the course time and if you win first place you double those points and second place you times it by 1.5"   Did you get it - sounds like a challenge indeed, but we are sure Andrea and Star are going for it. Good luck! 

 

Nougat got his 19th BOB and Brille is a champion...

At the club show on 20 October, CH Blicci's Nougat Wonder got his 19th Best of Breed. Congratulations to his owners Inge & Bendt Christensen, and well done to his handler Mia Aagaard! Best male No. 2 with CAC was Kecil Jammin' the Blues, and with his BOB the day before at the Swedish Winner Show in Växjö, he is now Danish champion, Swedish champion and Swedish Winner 2003. Congratulations to his owner and breeder Lise Verburg.

 

Once, twice, three times a Winners Bitch...

This little lady  has got a very nice start of her show career at the age of 8 months by being Winners Bitch and BOS three times already.  Being a puppy of Star, we consider her as a member of the Blicci family! Her name is Starstruck Moonstruck, aka Cher, bred by Andrea Samuels and owned by Andrea Samuels and Nancy Andrysiak  Her parents are CH En-La's Bravissimo and CH Blicci's Sandra Dee AX MXJ NJC NGC AD CGC. Way to go!

 

13 September - Blicci's Riverdance now Swedish Champion

At the big Swedish show at "Sofiero" in Helsingborg, held in a beautiful palace garden with a view to the sea from the show rings, our Ch Blicci's Riverdance became 2nd best male with CAC, making him now also Swedish champion. The judge was the wellknown breed specialist Mrs. Claire Anne Ahern, Pipistrelle Papillons in Ireland, who had an entry of as many as 71 papillons. In another ring, Mr. Dostal Jaromir from the Czech Republic judged 20 phalenes and found his best bitch in 10 months old Thygesminde's Julia who is a daughter of Ch Blicci's Nougat Wonder. Julia got her second CAC and went BOS. Congratulations to the breeders Inge & Bendt Christensen from Denmark and the owner Miss Marita Lindfors, Cqabeym's kennel in Sweden.

 

What a summer!

Blicci paps and phalenes around the world have really been so busy winning in the show rings and agility trials, so we find it hard to catch up! We are so proud of you all! Thanks to the owners for sending your news and photos.

The Story of Sunny and Tip

They travelled together in May 2002, 11 weeks old, from Denmark to another part of the world to meet their new owners. Little Blicci's U Are My Sunshine and her litter brother Blicci's Upside Down U Turn Me. They went to live with Karen MacPhee at Prince Edward Island in Canada and Christine Robichaud in Maine, USA respectively. Their owners became friends. And the two litter mates grew up to be very beautiful papillons. On this picture they met again at a show in Fredericton, Canada - as BOB and BOS. Congratulations, Karen and Christine......well done.... and thank you!

Sunny finished as Canadian Champion and thus became Nina's 5th champion offspring. Sunny has got her own page in our Gallery now. And Tip's page is updated with new photos. Tip went Group 1st in Canada and has several other group placements lately - and an Award of Merit at the Patriot Papillon Club show.

 

Star back on the Scene

USACH Blicci's Sandra Dee AX MXJ NJC NGC AD CGC competed in the All Star Agility Tournament and as the pictures show, she proved she is back at full speed after her litter this winter. Congratulations, Andrea and Star!

 

Small phalene wins big trophy At a show weekend in Denmark on 2 and 3 August, Ch Blicci's Tiny Trixie went BOS on Saturday under judge Mr. Wilfried Peper and BOB and BIS-2 on Sunday under judge Mrs. Marie Petersen. Trixie won the Kennel Safika's Trophy and after 3 years in succession, with 3 generations: Lotte, Fancy and Trixie, the trophy is now in our ownership. Thank you so much, Elly Nybo.
Blicci's Waikiki Tiki got Best Puppy on Saturday and Menine's High Fidelity (our import from Petra Lindlöf in Sweden) got Best Puppy on Sunday.

13 July - A nice show day for Blicci's kennel

At an international show in Halmstad, Sweden today, DKCH VV03 Blicci's Tiny Trixie took CAC, CACIB and BOS under judge Mrs. Monique van Brempt, Belgium. The CAC made her Swedish champion.

And in Portugalete, Spain, Blicci's Topaze also took CAC, CACIB and BOS under judge Mrs. Kirsti Lummelampi, Finland, and is now Spanish champion. Our sincere congratulations to her owner Mrs. Maité Etchard from France. Hoping to get an updated photo soon of Topaze with her very big ears and gorgeous fringes!

Topaze is our 17th homebred champion and the 4th one out of our wonderful brood Hopalong Nina Ricci.

30 May - Trixie World Winner and Best of Breed!

The World Dog Show in Dortmund, Germany, with more than 18,000 dogs entered, became a real breakthrough for our little phalene Ch Blicci's Tiny Trixie. Best female and thereby World Winner 2003, and after that she went in and got Best of Breed. BOS was Ch Up and Down's Axel, owned and bred by Carine Rutten in Holland. Congratulations! Thank you to everybody who made this possible, including the judge, Mr.Sergio Meira Lopez de Castro from Brazil.

18 May - Great show weekend in 3 different countries

Blicci papillons and phalenes did very well in the show rings in Spain, Sweden and Denmark this weekend.

• Blicci's Topaze got the CAC and BOS in Spain today and now needs only one more CAC to be Spanish Champion. Well done, Topaze and Maïte Etchard!
• Ch Blicci's Rainbow Wonder and Sven went to Hässleholm in Sweden on Saturday, and despite a large entry of 24 phalenes, Fancy did it - she got the attractive CAC and can now add Swedish Champion to her many titles! Thanks to judge Henrik Johansson.
• On Friday at a specialty show in Ølgod, Jutland, it was Ch Blicci's Nougat Wonder who made it to the top in the male class, and the judge found his 11 months old daughter Haremet's Taste of Nougat worth of winning best bitch with CAC. It was a pleasure to see father and daughter together in the winner circle for the best of breed, and a surprise to see the young generation go BOB! Our warm congratulations to the owner Petra Lindlöf, Menine's  kennel, and the breeder Inger Yaglikcilar, Haremet's kennel. The judge was Kresten Scheel. Best phalene puppy was Thygesminde's Julia, also sired by Nougat.

 

11 May - PCA National

We have spent two weeks of absolutely wonderful vacation in Florida, attending the Papillon Club of America's National Show in Kissimmee. We saw so many beautiful paps and met so many nice people. Thank you to you all for the way you welcomed us! After the show we enjoyed to see some of the famous Florida attractions like Disney World, and much more. A memory for life!

 

April - Show success for "Topaze"

Blicci's Topaze (Blicci's Oui C'est Ca - Hopalong Nina Ricci), owned by Maïté Etchard in Cambo Les Bains in France, is doing very well. Recently she got the CAC at a French show, and last weekend she got the CAC in Spain. Well done, Maïté and good luck at the next shows with Topaze.

 

22 March - New Danish champion!

The Danish Papillon & Phalene Club show in Nyborg was a super day for our phalenes!

• BOS + Best Senior: DKCH SCH INTCH KBHV98 KLBCH KBHV01 Blicci’s Little Wonder
• Best female No. 2: NORV00, DKCH, KBHV02, KLBCH, DKKV02 Blicci’s Rainbow Wonder
• Best female No. 3 with CAC and New Danish champion: Blicci’s Tiny Trixie
• Best breeder's group with prize of honour: Blicci’s group, consisting of the 4 above-mentioned dogs
• Best baby puppy: Thygesminde’s Jill, sired by Ch Blicci’s Nougat Wonder.

What a day! There were 15 phalene entries in total. Thanks to the judge Mr. Gunnar Nymann.

 

Star's puppies enter the scene
Andrea Samuels in New York is very pleased with Star's puppies. Chase and Cher have been to their first match shows, and did very well. Cher took best female papillon puppy and Chase has taken best toy group puppy already twice! Congrats to the talented babies.

 

9 February - Trixie gets her second CAC

At the year's first Danish Kennel Club International show in Fredericia, Blicci's Tiny Trixie got a nice come back after having her puppy. She got her second CAC and went best female No. 2. The judge was Mr. Tamas Jakkel from Hungaria.

25 January 2003 - Veronique having her show debut

Blicci's Veronique attended her life's first show in Karlslunde and went best phalene puppy. The judge was Mrs. Kerstin Nilsson. DKCH DCHKLB DCHVDH KLBCH SCH Blicci's Nougat Wonder  Blicci's Nougat Wonder went best phalene male and BOS.
